Baby shower

Todas estas cosas las hice para la 'baby shower' de mi cuñado Dan y su novia Raimonda, que fue ayer.
La tarta es de bizcocho con mermelada de fresa en el centro, y va recubierta de pasta de azúcar de colores. Las botitas tamibén son de pasta de azúcar y se pueden comer (aunque al final les dió pena romperlas y las acabaron guardando...).
Esta es la primera vez que he trabajado con este tipo de azúcar, pero el resultado ha sido muy bueno...
Algo que tampoco había hecho antes, son las bolas de bizcocho bañadas en chocolate. Se han puesto muy de moda ultimamente, así que no me podido resistir a hacerlas. Creo que me quedaron bastante bien....
Las 'cupcakes' las hago a munudo, aunque esta receta era nueva...¡buenísimas!. Los piececitos de azúcar los compré ya hechos.
Los banderines blancos los compré en el trabajo, y luego los decoré con cartulina de colores; las letras también son de cartulina...

I made all of these things for my brother in law Dan and his girlfriend Raimonda's baby shower, which took place yesterday.
The cake is a sponge cake with strawberry jam in the middle, and it is covered with fondant icing in different colours. The baby booties are made with sugar paste and they are edible too (although in the end they didn't want to break them and they ended up keeping them...).
This is the first time I have worked with this type of icing, but the result has been very good...
Something I hadn't made before either, are the 'cake pops'. They very fashionable at the moment, so I couldn't resist to make them. I think they turned out quite well...
I bought the white bunting at work, and then I decorated it with coloured card; the letters are also made of card...
A big success!

Sábanas para moisés - Moses basket sheets

Estas sabanitas de moisés tan monas las he hecho yo. Son para el moises que le hemos regalado al hermano de Alex y a su novia, que están a punto de ser papás por primera vez.
Simplemente compré las sábanas lisas (que son las únicas que venden aquí...), elegí varias telas de florecitas, y las cosí con la máquina de coser...  
I made these cute Moses basket sheets myself. They are for the Moses basket that we bought for Alex's brother and his girlfriend, who are about to become parents for the first time.
I simply bought some plain sheets (they are the only ones that they sell over here...), chose several floral fabrics, and I sewed them with the sewing machine...

'Cupcakes' de chocolate - Chocolate cupcakes

Las hice anoche para que Alex las llevara a la oficina por su cumpleaños...¡Son perfectas para los adictos al chocolate!.
El bizcocho es de chocolate, llevan crema de mantequilla al chocolate y por encima, virutas de chocolate de naranja...¡Buenísimas!
I made them last night for Alex to take to the office for his birthday...They are perfect for chocoholics!
They have chocolate sponge,  chocolate butter cream and orange chocolate shaves on top. So good!

Estas tarjetas tan graciosas las hice con unos papeles del trabajo. ¡Son ideales para los niños!. 
I made such cute cards with some papers from work. They are ideal for little boys!

San Valentín 2013 - Valentine's Day 2013

Estas son las 'cupcakes selva negra' que le hice este año a Alex por San Valentín...
Son de chocolate, van rellenas de cerezas con Kirsch (brandy de cereza) y por encima llevan nata montada.
No se las comió todas, así que el resto de su familia también tuvo ocasión de probarlas el día de su cumpleaños...
These are the 'black forest cupcakes' that I made for Alex on Valentine's Day...
They are chocolate flavour,  filled with cherries and Kirsch (cherry brandy), and topped with whipped cream.
He didn't finish them all, so his family also had the opportunity to try them on his birthday...
