Cake pops!

Estos 'cake pops' los hice el otro día para la fiesta de cumpleaños de nuestra sobrina Isla que cumplía dos añitos...¡Le encantaron!
Por dentro eran de bizcocho de Madeira y por fuera estaban recubiertos de chocolate Green&Black's de tres sabores (negro, blanco y con leche). Por último los adorné con fideos de azúcar y purpurina comestible.
I made this cake pops the other day for our niece Isla's second birthday party. She loved them!
I made them out of Madeira sponge and then I covered them in three different flavours of Green&Black's chocolate (dark, white and milk). Finally, I decorated them with sprinkles and edible glitter.

Este conjunto de cocinera se lo hice la semana pasada a nuestra sobrina Isla por su segundo cumpleaños. ¡Le quedaba perfecto y estaba super graciosa con él! 

I made this chef outfit last week for our niece Isla's second birthday. It fitted her perfectly and she look super cute in it!

Chichonera de coches - Cars cot bumper

Esta chichonera la he hecho para la cuna que David tiene en casa de su abuela Kathy. Su abuela le compró esta funda nórdica de coches tan graciosa y un almohadón, y como no vendían la chichonera a juego, decidimos comprar otra funda nórdica igual y usar la tela para hacerla. Tanto la funda como la chichonera son reversibles.

I have made this bumper for the cot that David has at his grandma Kathy's house. His grandma bought this cute cars duvet cover and pillowcase, and as they don't sell a matching cot bumper, we decided to buy one more duvet cover and use the fabric to make it. Both the duvet cover and the bumper are reversible.

Chichonera y faldón para cuna - Cot bumper and skirt

Esta chichonera y este faldón los hice para la cuna de David hace unos meses. La chichonera la hice más larga de lo normal ya que David se mueve mucho por la noche. Para ello utilicé tela de algodón y guata, y los lazos los hice con bies blanco.  
I made these bumper and skirt a few months ago for David's cot bed. I made the bumper extra long as David moves a lot during the night. To make it I used cotton fabric and wadding, and to make the ties I used white bias binding.

Cucharas de chocolate - Chocolate spoons

Hace mucho que tenía este molde, aunque no lo había usado hasta ahora...Me lo regaló mi hermana Irene, y es para hacer cucharas de chocolate para meter en la leche y así hacer chocolate caliente...
¡Muy originales y bastante sencillas de hacer!
I have had this mould for long time, although I hadn't used it until now...It was a present from my sister Irene and it is for making chocolate spoons that you can put in milk to make hot chocolate...Very original spoons and quite easy to make!

San Valentín 2015 - Valentine's Day 2015

This year, as well as a card, I also made these heart shaped shortbread and chocolate biscuits for Alex...They didn't last long!

Mis primeros patucos - My first booties

Este es un cuadro que le he hecho a David con sus primeros patucos... El fondo es de tela de lunares, su nombre está escrito con pegatinas de fieltro y la cinta de algodón la he estampado yo misma utilizando sellos acrílicos. Los patucos están sujetos con un alfiler y el botón va pegado.
This is a frame that I have put together for David with his first booties... For the back I have used polka dot fabric and for his name I have used felt alphabet stickers. I have stamped the cotton tape myself using acrylic stamps and I have fixed the booties with sewing pins. For the button I have used glue dots.

Buzón de boda - Wedding post box

 

Este buzón lo he hecho por encargo para uno de los directivos de mi empresa. Cuando la primavera pasada vio el que había hecho para exponer en la tienda, le gustó tanto que me pidió que le hiciera otro igual para la boda de su hijo. ¡Le ha gustado mucho como ha quedado!

I have made this post box for one of the directors at work. When last spring he saw the one I had made to display in the store, he liked it so much that he asked me to make another one just like it for his son's wedding. He was very pleased with the result!

Letras de tela - Fabric letters

Estas letras las hice para la habitación de David el pasado agosto, justo antes de que naciera... Los materiales que utilicé fueron: letras de papel maché, telas variadas, guata, cartulina y ¡mucha cola blanca!
I made these letters  for David's nursery last August just before he was born...The materials that I used were: papier mache letters, assorted fabrics, wadding, card and a lot of white glue!

Estos cojines los hice hace más de ocho años, cuando nos mudamos a este piso...
La tela, es loneta que me había sobrado de un estor que encargué. Los botones, lazos, hilos y cuentas, algunos los tenía por casa y el resto los compré. Los dos cojines llevan cremallera invisible.
I made these cushions more than eight years ago, when we moved to this flat...
The fabric, is spare calico that I had left over from a roman blind that I had custom made. I had some of the buttons, ribbons, threats and beads at home, and I bought the rest. Both cushions have concealed zips.
