Rosa naranja - Orange rose

Este pequeño cuadrito es una de mis primeras labores de punto de cruz. Lo hice hace doce años para decorar mi habitación cuando nos mudamos de piso...Hoy, sigue colgado en el mismo sitio y me gusta mirarlo cada vez que vuelvo a casa.
This little picture was one of my first cross-stitch needleworks. I made it twelve years ago to decorate my bedroom when we moved apartments...Today, it is still in the same place and I like to look at it every time I go back home.

Casa nueva - New home

Con mis dos hernanas habiéndose mudado de casa en el último mes, y mi cuñado y su novia punto de hacerlo, estas tarjetas me van a resultar muy útiles...
With both of my sisters having moved houses in the last month, and my brother in law and his girlfriend about to do it,  these cards are going to be very useful...

Kit de viaje - Travelling kit

Estoy segura de que no somos los únicos con este problema...
Cada vez que vamos de viaje, al cabo de unos días toda la ropa acaba mezclada en la maleta o en un cajón y es difícil saber qué es lo limpio y qué lo sucio (y dónde está ese calcetín qué nos falta...).
Por ello, para estas últimas vacaciones hice estas bolsitas tan prácticas (estas en concreto son las de Alex).
La bolsa de cordones es para la ropa sucia (si no hay cajón, se puede colgar de una percha), y las otras dos son para la ropa interior y los calcetines. Van unidas con unos automáticos, pero si se quiere, se pueden usar por separado.
I'm sure we are not the only ones with this problem...
Every time we go on a trip, after a few days all the clothes end up mixed in the suitcase or a draw and it is difficult to know what is clean and what is dirty (and where is that sock that we are missing...).
It is because of this, that I made such useful bags for this last holiday (these ones in particular are Alex's).
The drawstring bag is for the dirty clothes (if there isn't a draw, it can be hung on a coat hanger), and the other two are for underwear and socks. They are attached by snap fasteners, but if one wants, they can be used individually.

¡Funda y bolsa, todo en uno! - Cover and bag, all in one!

¡Qué buena idea! ¡Es ideal para leer en el tren de camino al trabajo!. Cuando lo ví en una revista, no me pude resistir a hacerlo...La tela de algodón está hecha en Japón y fue un regalo de mi madre: la compramos en 'Ray Stitch' en Islington, un día que estuvimos dando una vuelta por Londres. 
Por dentro lleva guata y tela de algodón blanca. El lazo y las cuentas del separador de páginas, las tenía por casa.
What a good idea! It is ideal to read on the train on the way to work!. When I saw it in a magazine, I couldn't resist to make it...The cotton fabric is made in Japan, and it was a present from my mum: we bought it in 'Ray Stitch' in Islington, one day that we were having a wander in London.
Inside it has got wadding and white cotton fabric. I had the ribbon and the beads for the book marker at home.

¡Temporada de bodas! - Wedding season!

Este pequeño archivador lo hice hace un par de meses, para ir guardando las invitaciones, listas de regalos de boda, direcciones, reservas de hotel, etc...de las seis bodas a las que hemos sido invitados este año entre junio y octubre...
Con tanto evento es fácil perder todos esos papeles, así que ahora por lo menos, podemos guardar todo en un mismo sitio.
El proyecto en sí fue rápidísimo, ya que sólo me hicieron falta un par de cartones y cartulina que tenía por casa, papeles que saqué de una revista, lazo y ¡mucha cinta adhesiva de boble cara!.
I made this little folder a couple of months ago, to keep all the invitations, wedding gift lists, directions, hotel reservations, etc...of the six weddings that we have been invited to this year between June and October...
With so many events, it is easy to misplace all those papers, so at least now we have a place to keep everything together.
The project itself was very quick, as I only needed a couple of pieces of grey board and card that I had at home, some papers that I got from a magazine, ribbon and lots of double-sided tape!.

Bolsitas de cordón - Drawstring bags

Estas bolsitas de tela de algodón, se las hice a mi amiga Caty por su cumple el pasado mes de marzo...
Son muy útiles tanto para casa como para cuando se viaja, ya que yo siempre las hago para que además de guardarse en un cajón, también se puedan colgar.
I made these cotton fabric bags in March for my friend Caty's birthday...
They are very useful at home and for travelling, as I always make them so not only they can be kept in a draw, but also they can be hung.
