These are the thank you cards that I have made this year for my birthday. The papers that I have used match the ones in the invitations I sent. I wrote the messages on vellum paper with a glitter pen.

I made this cute coin purse today. I got the fabrics, the clasp and the pattern with a magazine that I brought from work last week. I have added some interfacing to stiffen it a bit and I have sewn it by hand. So easy!

I found them today while tiding some papers...they are the menus from last year's different Christmas meals. Mum, Irene and I made them together.
I made the snowflake in the center with Fimo and a stamp that I had at home. Before baking it, I sprinkled it with gold powder (the one that Staedtler makes...) to give it a metallic effect.

Planificador navideño - Christmas planner
It is that time of the year when this planner starts to be very useful...I made it last year with two pieces of grey board that I had at home, card, papers that I got from a magazine, and lots of double sided tape! (the embellishements are studs from a belt that I didn't like...). It took me a whole weekend to finish it, but I think it turned out very nice.
Cosiendo en azul - Sewing in blue
After years of having all my embroidery threats mixed in a cardboard box... I have finally got organized and tidied all my sewing things.
Kathy bought me the sewing basket a few years ago for my birthday. I like it a lot, so that's the reason for the blue theme...
I bought the box for the threats at work; it is made by Anchor and, while it is very useful, it is a bit ugly just made out of plastic, so I have decorated it a bit...
I bought the glass jar in my local garden center; it has got a ceramic lid and on top I have stuck a label that I found on the Internet.
Caja navideña - Christmas box
I made this box last Christmas to keep all the papers, cards, ribbons, etc... that I use to make my Christmas cards. To make it I used a shoe box, fabric, felt and ribbon that I had at home, and lots of glue!. I recycled the wooden Christmas tree topper from a gift wrap of a present from a previous year...

¡Tarjetas de Navidad! - Christmas cards!
This year I am being very organized and I have already made some Christmas cards...These ones in particular I have made for Alex, to give at work. I have also made another batch very similar but with the text in Spanish, for my mum, so she doesn't have to go and buy them...
I have printed the words with the computer, while the red card I have stamped with red ink that I had at home and an acrylic stamp that I bought from work. I bought the card topper too.
¡Mis tijeras de costura! - My sewing scissors!
They look like they could have been bought in Cath Kidston...but they haven't. These scissor covers have been made by myself! With a little bit of felt that I had at home, some buttons and some embroidery threats, I have found the perfect solution (and a very pretty one!) to stop my
scissors from getting damaged in the sewing basket...
Sujeta puertas - Door stopper
I made this door stopper a few months ago for the bathroom door at home. I bought the oil cloth in Cath Kidston. I hand sewed it and filled it with rice.

Halloween 2011
I made the orange cupcakes myself the other day (I bought the toppers), but with the pumpkins I had some help: Alex made one too! This year we didn't have to buy them, as one of our neighbours in the allotment had saved them for us so we could decorate them...but they are still not scary!
Una tarta para Lucy - A cake for Lucy
¡Mi querido libro de mermeladas! - My dear jam book!
I am very attached to it because it is ever so useful and very beautiful...but of course, it is custom-made by me! I have been using it all summer non stop and it always helps me to keep everything handy: my recipes, the labels, the fabric...
It is made with two pieces of hard gray board that I had at home, two scrapbooking rings, card and papers that I got from a magazine. I printed the words with the computer.
Halloween 2010
It isn't very scary...but it is not bad considering it was the first one I ever made...I bought it in my local garden center. I put a battery operated candle inside so it won't burn...
¡Otro babero! - Another bib!
I made this bib recently for Lily, my colleage Hailey's little girl, who was born two months ago. I bought the bib ready made, and then I embroidered it with cross-stitch.
The bib shaped card is full of beads and sequins, and when you shake it, it sounds like a rattle.
Ambientador casero - Homemade air freshener
Not only does it looks very nice on the coffee table, it also smells wonderfully...it has got a very rustic smell. I made it last week with two oranges and some cloves. I already had the other slices, but those don't smell: they have been dried and are just for decoration.
