¡Otra tanda de mermelada casera!. Esta es de ruibarbo con naranja y jengibre...y es mi favorita.
El ruibarbo es de nuestra huerta (las naranjas, el jengibre fresco y el azúcar los compro en el supermercado). Los papelitos que cubren los tarros son de Cath Kidston, y venian en un kit que me regaló Alex el invierno pasado.
Another batch of homemade jam! This one is rhubarb, orange and ginger...and it's my favorite.
The rhubarb is from our allotment (I buy the oranges, root ginger and sugar from the supermarket). The papers on top of the jars are from Cath Kidston, and they were part of a kit that Alex bought me last winter.

Esta bolsa que le he hecho a mi suegra Kathy es muy práctica, ya que no sólo es para guardar la ropa interior cuando se va de viaje...¡sino que además lleva un bolsillo con una bolsa de cordonoes para la ropa sucia!. La hice el otro día sobre la marcha, sin patrón ni nada...pero la verdad es que ha quedado bastante bien.
This bag that I have made for my mother in law Kathy is very practical, as not only can she keep underwear inside while travelling, but it also has a pocket with a drawstring bag for the dirty clothes!. I made it the other day without a pattern, but it has actually turned out quite nicely!

El armarito no lo he he hecho yo...pero lo que sí he hecho, ha sido personalizarlo un poco. Cuando lo compré simplemente venía con el cristal, así que yo le he añadido una tela para que no se vean las llaves, más ganchitos dentro y el detalle del centro: que es la llave original de éste- nuestro primer piso juntos.
I haven't made this cabinet...but what I have done, is to personalize it a bit. When I bought it, it came just with the glass door, so I have added some fabric to hide the keys, more little hooks inside and the detail in the center: which is the original key of this - our first home together.
Este fue un pequeño encargo de mi madre, quien me pidió que la bordara a punto de cruz un par de tiras de Aida, para luego coserlas en unas cortinillas que había hecho ella para su armario de la ropa blanca. ¡Muy organizado!
This was a little project that my mum asked me to do for her. She asked me to cross-stitch a couple of Aida bands to stitch them to some fabric covers that she had made for her linen cupboard. Very organized!
Esta dedalera la hice ya hace unos años, y fue un regalo para mi madre por su cumpleaños. Originalmente, la había regalado por navidad una igual pero más pequeña para que pusiera su colección de dedales...pero cuando ésta estuvo llena, ya no pude encontrar otra dedalera igual, así que decidí hacerla yo misma.
Fuí a la tienda de bricolaje, compré la madera, la corté, y la lijé. Luego llamé a mi padre para que me mandara una foto de la dedadera original, y la pinté igual con pintura acrílica. ¡Le encantó!.
La tercera dedalera (la de la izquierda), es un cajón de imprenta que compramos en el mercado de Portobello, en Londres. Las dos últimas también son regalo mio: son dos cajones de imprenta que compré en una tienda de antiguedades de Henley-on-Thames, y que luego lijé y pinté.
I made this thimble display case a few years ago as a present for my mum's birthday. Originally, I had given her a similar one but smaller as a Christmas present to put her thimble collection... but when this one was full, I couldn't find the same one again, so I decided to make it myself.
I went to the DIY store, I bought the wood, I cut it and sanded it. Then I called my dad and asked him to send me a picture of the original thimble display case, and I painted it to match with acrylic paint. She loved it!.
The third thimble display case (the one on the left), is a printers drawer that we bought in Portobello Road Market, in London. The last two are also a present of mine: they are two printers drawers that I bought in an antiques shop in Henley-on-Thames, and that I later sanded and painted.
